Saint Joseph Praying Before Work

I remember what it felt like, placing these lines on paper. Saint Joseph, must have been such a holy man of prayer. I remember faintly outlining his work smock. Feeling how his hands were opening. His heart and hands open before God in prayer. I could picture him so clearly- sitting on a bench before creating, before he started to build. Today as I make, I pray that I may have the courage to begin in prayer. Just like this man.
