I am painting a Saint a day everyday during October! I really wanted to start painting again and knew committing to this would be something I loved and would be really excited about! All the originals will be for sale on All Saints Day, November 1st, at 6 am PST. The prints will be released each day for pre-sale. This is the listing for the original watercolor.

About this painting:

This is an original watercolor painting by Leanne Bowen of Saint Therese of Lisieux. It is 8”x10” with deckled edges on watercolor paper.

 “Nothing is small in the eyes of God. Do everything you can do with love.”  

I was so deeply moved by this quote. What a perfect quote to read when starting an audacious project like painting everyday after so many years of scarcely picking up a brush. It has been a busy season with two little toddlers- a constant go go go without much space for the tenderness of paint and paper. So I wanted to commit to creating.

Saint Therese is such a gift to start with for this project. A Saint of littleness. A Saint of little yeses. I want to say yes like her. I want to believe that nothing is small in the eyes of God. So here I am, standing humbly before Him- reminding myself that even though I am a busy mom- I can say yes to hard things. I can say yes to important things. I can begin again. Somedays may be the quickest sketch ever- some may have the patience and fullness of watercolor and shading. The outcome doesn’t matter. The yes matters. Saying yes with great love matters.
